About the Event
Time: 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. CT
American manufacturers face significant workforce constraints. By 2030, it is estimated that 2.1 million manufacturing jobs will be unfilled in the U.S. due exclusively to a skills gap. The economic impact of these missing jobs is staggering—nearly $1 trillion by some estimates. At the same time, advanced manufacturing technologies are providing opportunities for a broader, more diverse pipeline of manufacturing talent than ever before.
Recognizing these challenges and opportunities, MxD is hosting a Diversity-Equity-Inclusion-Accessibility (DEIA) workshop focused on highlighting manufacturers’ successes in leveraging technology to address accessibility in the work environment. Cutting-edge technologies can not only deliver solutions designed to improve the experience for employees, but they can also help manufacturers tap into previously under-engaged populations. Hear from industry leaders who will share models for how technology has helped increase both diversity and overall workforce availability.
This MxD hosted workshop will take place as part of IMTS, at McCormick Place, Chicago IL. MxD members will receive free access to the workshop and IMTS via a promo code. For more information, contact Emily.Constantinou@mxdusa.org to take advantage of this offer. (Expires September 9, 2022).
