Our Team

Michael Howard is a Senior Project Engineer at MxD. In this role, Michael is responsible for managing and executing complex research and development projects among both industry and academic partners. Michael was previously with MxD as a Project Manager from 2015-2017. Prior to rejoining MxD in March 2022, Michael was a Principal Consultant at West Monroe Partners, where he led Industry 4.0 implementations at consumer and industrial product manufacturers. He also served as Project Manager and Lead Mechanical Engineer at Microlution, a small machine tool builder in Chicago specializing in high accuracy, high precision lathes and milling machines.

Throughout his career in mechanical engineering and new product development, he has earned 5 design patents. In his free time, he enjoys golf, bowling, being out on the water, and trying new restaurants.
