Chris Dufour
Director, Government Business Development
As Director of Government Business Development, Chris Dufour puts his 20+ years of experience working with the federal government to the test at MxD. He has worked in open-source intelligence, science & technology, irregular warfare, counterterrorism, psychological and information operations, cybersecurity, and many more national security roles for the government and industry.
Chris was a plankholder at the Army IED Task Force and saw it evolve into a billion-dollar Joint initiative to defeat IEDs, rapidly equipping warfighters with life-saving technology in partnership with academia and industry. He was a respected, efficient program manager at the Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office (CTTSO) where he focused on soft power and strategic influence. In the startup world, Chris helped build companies in training support, cyber, intelligence, investigations, special operations, gamification, and strategic communications. He has also contributed creatively with editorial, scriptwriting, vocal performance, and publishing two crime fiction novels. Chris has worked extensively with the Governments of Australia, the United Kingdom, Lithuania, and other U.S. allies and retains expertise in export compliance and international relations.
Chris is a believer in the power of manufacturing as an element of national power and critical to strategic competition initiatives supporting warfighters. He is an alumnus of the University of Southern Mississippi and the Johns Hopkins University where he attained degrees in government, homeland security, and communications. He is a current member of the Information Professionals Association and a volunteer for Fort Worth Sister Cities International.
