For US-headquartered businesses, a diverse business is defined as one that is 51% or more owned, operated, and managed by someone who fits in one or more of following categories:
■ Woman who is a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident of the U.S.
■ Minority who is a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident of the U.S.
■ Veteran who is a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident of the U.S.
■ Disabled person who is a US citizen or permanent legal resident of the U.S.
■ Disadvantaged business (business owner must be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident of the U.S.)
■ LGBTQ+ business owner who is a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident of the U.S.
■ Or if the business is located in a HUBZone: operates and employs individuals residing in a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone), as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA)
