Problem

With no consensus about what technical data to share, the medium in which to share it, and how a supplier can access this data from multiple origins, small- and medium-sized manufacturers (SMMs) rarely have the resources or desire to expand their data-exchange capabilities to expand their customer base.

Proposed Solution

The team will deliver a software solution, define technical product data requirements, and contract with manufacturers to make parts using the new data-exchange platform.

Impact

The goal is to make SMMs aware of the value that comes with incorporating new technologies, amplifying the ways this can expand their market and improve their operations.
