March 13, 2024 (CHICAGO) — MxD today announced that Google Cloud has joined as a Tier 2 member to collaborate on building a new way forward in an increasingly data-driven manufacturing sector.
Chicago-based MxD, which celebrates its 10-year anniversary this year, advances economic prosperity and national security by strengthening U.S. manufacturing competitiveness through technology innovation, workforce development, and cybersecurity preparedness.
Google Cloud shares dedicated space on MxD’s 22,000-square-foot factory floor with Betacom and Ingram Micro. The space provides a venue for immersive demos showing how to boost production, equipment management, quality control, and more; inspiring customer cases to guide decision-makers; and facilitates discussions with Google Cloud experts.
“MxD is excited to partner with Google Cloud to bring the power of AI and machine learning to manufacturers, enabling them to drive innovation, efficiency, and growth,” said Berardino Baratta, CEO of MxD. “Together, we’re ushering in a new era of Industry 4.0, powered by data-driven insights and intelligent automation.”
The world’s leading manufacturers use Google Cloud’s data, AI, and productivity solutions to optimize production operations, improve customer experiences, and accelerate workforce productivity.
“Google Cloud brings engineering innovation to manufacturing enterprises in a secure, scalable, and sustainable way,” said Matt Renner, President, Global Field Operations for Google Cloud. “Our collaboration with MxD will help manufacturers reach a deeper understanding of the technology landscape to improve production, supply chain, and frontline workforce processes.”
Google Cloud joins MxD’s nearly 300 members, including fellow new members RTX, Abbott, and Northrop Grumman. To learn more, visit www.mxdusa.org/members/.
